About.
I feel I was a doula long before I was "working" as one. I was a fierce advocate early on in life, a deeply compassionate person, and someone who showed up when others couldn’t or wouldn’t. My path to becoming a doula wasn’t linear, as my life has been anything but.
I gave birth to a daughter—just the two of us, in perfect unison. Breath to breath, beat to beat, heat to heat. I had just reached between my own legs and helped bring my baby to my chest as I floated in and out of the fever dream that is birth. I knew that if I was capable of THAT, then I was capable of anything. I fell in love with the magic of birth.
I decided I wanted to make the world a more beautiful place, so I carried and birthed two girls for a couple who couldn’t. Being a surrogate was the greatest honor, and it remains one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I believe that women deserve better.
I entered the birth world—a galaxy of intuitive, powerful, and wild experiences. I am a woman who will get down on the floor with another woman, forehead to forehead, eyes to eyes, her fluids on me, and I’ll tell her she can do it. And I mean it. I mean it during birth, and I mean it in postpartum, and I mean it always. I have never believed in anything more than the power of a woman.
Birth is meant to expand us, teach us, break us, and heal us. In that moment, I saw a new version of myself: a warrior of love, a woman of immense power
Fun facts about me…
